.LONDON.TRIP.

.On Thursday the 11th of November I travelled down to London with my university friends.
.We first visited the V&A museum and explored the fashion floor, with old V.Westwood dresses and recent McQueen dresses i was very inspired and took many photographs to keep.

.Our second visit within the V&A was the to the Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes Exhibition.
.Diaghilev's greatest achievement was his dance company - the Ballets Russes. Created a century ago, the productions of the Ballets Russes revolutionised early 20th-century arts.
.The designs and colours used in Ballets Russes productions forged a new aesthetic in the 20th century. Knowledge of the company's revolutionary ballets went through to the theatre, fashion and daily life, including interior design. Diaghilev's presentation of his homeland in particular created a strand of Russian style.
.I personally loved watching all the videos that were in the museum of the ballet dancers, their movements were mesmerizing. In one room they had a massive projection of dancers across two huge walls which was fabulous to watch, the video often used silouettes of the dancers against a vivd background... bright colours or bold patterns.

.After the V&A we took a trip to Bond Street to visit Selfridges, They had an interesting new christmas window display. With funky bright colours and cartoon figures it was an unusal choice for the luxury store.I loved how creative each window was and so enjoyed the fun vibe given, however the actual christmas sign above the Selfridges clock I was actually disappointed with, just because i felt it was almost to simple and not impressive enough to go with the store, but I may change my opinion with time.

.Overall I Loved the day trip and being at the capital city at this time of year deffinatly made me feel very festive the oxford street lights were a treat to see !
