.KURV MAGAZINE.

.Here are a few photos that I love from the icons issue of Kurv Magazine.
.Featuring model Alison Arboux, photographed by Jonathan Segade. Stylist- Sara Bascunan.
. Arboux's tousled hair and natural make up make her look innocent and the setting of the photographs make the photos feel romantic and sweet. The dress in the second photograph is designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and I really love the detail and colours.

.WORK.EXPERIENCE.

.Today I visited DanceWork Studios off Oxford street in London to attend a large model casting for Next's January swimwear collection.
Working with Lindsey Hunt who specialises within Fashion Productions and two clients from Next, I observed people at work and helped throughout the day. I loved the buzz. It was an open casting and a huge number of models turned up. Both male and Female models were asked to walk in front of the clients and if shortlisted was asked to walk in front of a camera and to introduce themselves.
.I was allowed to observe and ask questions in the studio most of the day but I also helped back in the changing and waiting area. I registered the models on arrival and helped organise them into groups efficiently to go through into the studio, also giving clear instructions on what they needed to do, wear and take into the studio with them throughout the day.
I absolutely love the experience and have been asked if i would like to come help out with the production in January! So another successful trip to London.

.LONDON.TRIP.

.On Thursday the 11th of November I travelled down to London with my university friends.
.We first visited the V&A museum and explored the fashion floor, with old V.Westwood dresses and recent McQueen dresses i was very inspired and took many photographs to keep.

.Our second visit within the V&A was the to the Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes Exhibition.
.Diaghilev's greatest achievement was his dance company - the Ballets Russes. Created a century ago, the productions of the Ballets Russes revolutionised early 20th-century arts.
.The designs and colours used in Ballets Russes productions forged a new aesthetic in the 20th century. Knowledge of the company's revolutionary ballets went through to the theatre, fashion and daily life, including interior design. Diaghilev's presentation of his homeland in particular created a strand of Russian style.
.I personally loved watching all the videos that were in the museum of the ballet dancers, their movements were mesmerizing. In one room they had a massive projection of dancers across two huge walls which was fabulous to watch, the video often used silouettes of the dancers against a vivd background... bright colours or bold patterns.

.After the V&A we took a trip to Bond Street to visit Selfridges, They had an interesting new christmas window display. With funky bright colours and cartoon figures it was an unusal choice for the luxury store.I loved how creative each window was and so enjoyed the fun vibe given, however the actual christmas sign above the Selfridges clock I was actually disappointed with, just because i felt it was almost to simple and not impressive enough to go with the store, but I may change my opinion with time.

.Overall I Loved the day trip and being at the capital city at this time of year deffinatly made me feel very festive the oxford street lights were a treat to see !

.KATE.MOSS.FINAL COLLECTION.UPDATE.

.TOPSHOP LONDON 1ST NOVEMBER. KATE. NEW COLLECTION.

.ALEXA.CHUNG.ELLE.

Alex Chung is cover girl of Elle Magazine's November Issue.
.Article: How To Shop by Alex Chung.
.On her style: I’m quite proud that geeky, asexual dressing has become cool. It’s good to promote a different look. It’s cooler to get something for a fiver in a charity shop, than spend five grand in Versace."

.COLOUR PALETTE.

In today's seminar we learnt how to create a colour palette.
I chose one photo that represented the colours of 'Purity' and another that represented the colours of 'Sensuality'. The palettes are great for helping me decided a colour scheme for my mood boards.

KATE.MOSS.FINAL COLLECTION.

.The new Kate Moss Autumn/winter collection at Topshop will be Kate Moss's FINAL collection for the brand.
.The collection is fabulous, the clothes have a 70s-inspired style with a hint of boho and a vintage-inspired jewellery range has also been created.
.What i personally enjoyed was the new Kate Moss diary available on the Topshop website,
The diary describes what Kate Moss wears each day in the run up to the launch to the autumn collection.
To celebrate the release of the collection, Kate Moss will be hosting an evening in the London Oxford Circus Topshop on the 1st of Novemeber, the night before the collection is sold, with a cocktail bar and special guest DJs the night is not one to be missed!

.FRED PERRY. PERFUME.

.A new product idea for Fred Perry that I have created is a new perfume.
.The brand has not released a new perfume since the 1970s.
.Looking and comparing perfume bottles by the brands competitors such as;
Lacoste, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger,
I began sketching a perfume bottle that I thought would be suitable for Fred Perry.
.I kept the bottle design simple and classic and used the Fred Perry Laurel to imprint on the front.
.I then edited my design on photoshop.
.The design will be included in my Brand Presentation task that i am completing with a group of people on my course this November.

.LARA.STONE. 'SEDUCE ME' .

.My favourite images of Lara Stone from Interview Magazine October 2010- photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer.

.LARA.STONE..THE.NEW.KATE.MOSS.?.

.Lara Stone.- is .EVERYWHERE. Known for her larger size 8 figure and iconic gap-toothed pout she is  becoming the next most powerful supermodel since.Kate Moss. and a poster girl for the new curvier women who are coming into fashion.
.Stone has had a remarkable year. In June she signed a triple contract with .Calvin Klein. which will see her work for its collection, CK and Jeans labels. Her previous campaigns include working with .Louis Vuitton. Givenchy. Jean Paul Gaultier. H&M. and. Prada. Stone has also appeared on catwalks for.Chanel.Prada.and.Stella McCartney.
.In 2009 British Vogue called Lara Stone 'girl of the year' and she had an entire issue of French Vogue dedicated to her. The only other model to gain a similar credibility and honour was Kate Moss who guest-edited Vogue in 2005.
.Her more recent work involves being on the cover of November issue of British Vogue and on the 90th anniversary issue of French Vogue-wearing the minimum of just a mask,a choker and a pair of gloves. Stone also appears in the November issue of Interview magazine photographed by Craig McDean wearing a Monochromatic Wardrobe, featuring the work of .Louis Vuitton. and more.

.STELLA.MCCARTNEY.

.In todays seminar, I did a presentation about Stella McCartney's new clothing range for children. After a previous collaboration with .Gap Kids. Stella McCartney is now launching her own collection for the brand in November, following the likes of .Burberry.D&G.and.Dior. who have also expanded into this market. The British designer who is pregnant with her fourth child, is designing the line on a more personal level.

.The designs draw on the designers signature style, clean cuts, subtle tones and with modern aesthetics. Intrestingly the pieces are named after children's first names for example, 'Ingrid Floral print dress dress' and 'The Sam wool and cashmere blend pea coat'. Stella McCartney has also included eco-friendly pieces for example, 'The Organice Onesies'.  Items will be sold through a dedicated websites with express shipping to 200 countries. The collection will be stocked at Stella McCartney stores in .London.NY.LA.Paris.HongKong.and.Tokyo.
